My career began early, assisting my mother with her herbalist business while she taught full-time. As a teenager, I worked in local restaurants and small businesses, where I developed a passion for customer service and gained experience in merchandising, marketing, purchasing, and business management. I later transitioned to the jewelry industry, where I learned design, manufacturing, repair, and brokering. Attending buying trips and GIA further deepened my expertise in gemstones, metalworking, merchandising, trend forecasting, and sales.
My passion for the arts and creating led me to pursue multiple avenues of design. Over the years, I took courses in interior, fashion, and jewelry design, merchandising, and more. I also dedicated time to fine art, sculpture, ceramics, photography, and especially metalsmithing and bench jewelry work, weaving together my growing expertise.
Although verifying fields of study, they all had a common connection, allowing me to continuously think outside the "normal" way of getting things done.
Avery Sterling Designs is the culmination of my experience in customer service & retail, my education in art, jewelry, and designs, and my natural passion for reducing waste and saving money. I genuinely love being a part of my clients' lives, hearing their stories, and creating a strong relationship that spans generations. It is an honor to listen, learn, create, and connect with you.
